Statistically only 1/10,000 mares give birth to twins with approximately a 20% survival rate.  No doubt that if anyone was going to have them, it would be our mare, Azaamah!  Click here to read their story...

Our birthday - June 19th , 2009
Our 1st day - June 20th , 2009 - welcome Zaahir!
Our first day outside together enjoying some sunshine.
A new Prince is born -
"Zaahir" our brilliant Staar...
Smaller and 2nd but determined
"Zaim Staar" - the leader & Jake
The elegant Zaahir stretching his long legs while Zaim trots along.

The boys learn to each take a side to nurse
The twins make the cover of Arkansas's all-breed equine publication at 3 weeks old - July 2009
Zaim eats his foal lac pellets out of Jake's hand...
Jake feeds Zaahir pellets too.
Zaahir & Zaim striking a handsome pose... 3 weeks old
The smaller and athletic Zaim Staar,  and the tall, elegant young prince Zaahir Staar posing for the camera - 3 weeks old.
Zaahir Staar with his sculpted face, big eyes, and tipped ears He is no doubt one of the most beautiful foals out of Azaamah.
Azaamah, Zaim and Zaahir pose for their 4 month
family portrait - Oct 24, 2009. The colts have done extremely well and have been raised by their mother along with foal lac pellets.  They have  lived outdoors in a big pasture with a large covered shed.

Zaahir is tall and leggy, elegant and refined.
Zaim is smaller but has a
very good athletic body and
is slowly catching up to his
taller brother.

We are proud of Azaamah
for taking such good care of  them.
February 2010, 8 months old - playing outside in the snow!  The boys really have matured after weaning.
Even with their heavy winter coats, they look great and love to pose for the camera!   Zaahir is  very "vogue"
Zaim resembles his maternal grandsire Tammen...
