Azaamah is undeniably one of the most beautiful daughters of the Straight Egyptian stallion Tammen. Like so many of his daughters, Azaamah has proven herself in the show ring and was awarded Top Ten honors at the 1996 Egyptian Event where she competed in the Futurity Fillies of 1995 class.   She is also fast becoming a dam of distinction having produced several show and breeding quality offspring, including 5 show champions.

Breeding Azaamah to Imperial Baarez has been the best breeding decision we have ever made.  Back in 2000 she delivered a very handsome flaxen chestnut colt named Azaam El Farres by Farres (by Anaza El Farid) and afterward we began looking for the perfect stallion for the next breeding. I never dreamed that our decision to breed to Baarez would bring her international and national notoriety.

She produced a stunning grey filly for us in 2001 who we named Barizzah.  She was one of the best fillies of that foal crop and resulted in securing Azaamah's breeding future to Baarez. Barizzah's "float on air" trot and outstanding suspension on the lead resulted in the highest scores in movement in a very competitive class of top quality two year old fillies at the 2003 Egyptian Event. She received compliments from some of the most respected and successful breeders in the industry.  Her full sister Baariyah tied for the highest scores in movment at the 2005 Egyptian Event where she placed 4th out of an extremely competitive class of 22 Futurity Fillies with Paolo Capecci of Italy as handler, and Steve Dady of Omni Arabians, Trainer.

Azaamah's '04 colt Baarafic was sold to Australia and took top honors at the '05 Pan American Show, being named Champion Stallion under judge Liz Salmon for owners Ron & Lorraine Bond of Chaswyck Stud.   Baarafic was again Supreme Ch. Stallion at the 2007 Pan Pacific Showcase under Dr. Nasr. Marei. Although he passed away at an early age, he has left his mark and is passing on his legacy through his beautiful offspring in AU and NZ.

Azaamah's 2005 filly Imperial Beveerah unanimously won the Yearling Futurity Championship at the '06 Egyptian Event  (fillies 4/15-12/31/05) for her breeders/owners, the Imperial Egyptian Stud.  She too commanded the highest scores for her incredible movement. She was sold to Pierre & Mary Anne Groenen of Prestige Straight Egyptians, Belgium.  She has had phenomenal show success in 2007 winning  Jr. Champion Filly at the Egyptian Event Italy in April and then Res. Jr. Champion Filly at the Egyptian Event Europe.  We are very proud of her accomplishments.

Azaamah's most notable pregnancy was in 2009 with the delivery of twin colts by Imperial Mistaar.  They were certainly the surprise of the breeding season as she had been ultrasounded at the regular intervals - 15, 30 and 45 days.  She managed to deliver and raise them herself.  These two shining stars of Zajaddi grew into fine young colts.  Zaahir Staar was purchased by Salayel Arabians, Saudi Arabia and shown to Top Five Futurity Champion at the 2011 Eyyptian Event.  He was later resold and exported as a 4 year old to a breeder in China.

Azaamah's last foal, a gorgous filly by Aziim Al Amaar was born in 2014 and exported as a yearling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  She is currently being bred for her final foal this year.
